The marriage triangle

Marriage is the joining of hearts, that two may become one. It’s a wonderful thing with wonderful rewards for those who are willing to make the necessary sacrifices—and there are some sacrifices involved. To become one, each partner must be willing to give and change. The man must give of himself to become all that his wife needs him to be, and the woman must give of herself to become everything that her husband needs her to be. That’s the kind of self-sacrificial love that the strongest, happiest marriages are built on. Where do you get such love? Only from Me.
Picture your marriage as a triangle, with the two of you at the bottom two corners and Me at the top. As you both climb the sides of the triangle to come closer to Me, the source of love, you are also drawn closer together. The way to greater love and greater closeness with each other is to climb closer to Me.
The closer you both come to Me, the more love you will have to share with others. And the more love you share, the closer others will be drawn to both you and Me. It will start with those nearest and dearest to you—your children and other family members—and grow from there. As I said, marriage is a wonderful thing with wonderful rewards—so wonderful, in fact, that the sacrifices cease to be sacrifices.

Te comprendo cabalmente

Estoy tan enamorado de ti que Mi vista no capta ninguno de tus fallos e imperfecciones. El amor me ciega y me hace ver más allá de tus faltas y equivocaciones. Es un amor que solo ve lo bueno y las posibilidades que los demás no alcanzan a distinguir.
No te vigilo garrote en mano listo para atizarte al más mínimo error. No estoy a la espera de que tropieces y caigas para meterte otra vez en vereda de un estacazo. ¿Cómo iba a hacer eso? Yo también me he encontrado en tu lugar. Yo también adopté el manto de carne humana a fin de llegar a conocerte y a comprenderte cabalmente. Conozco las contrariedades que experimentas, cada uno de tus anhelos, la insuficiencia de la carne humana y hasta tus pecados ocultos. Me identifico con tu humanidad. L’effet de la prière

Prier n’est pas le moins que l’on puisse faire, c’est le plus que l’on puisse faire. Réfléchis un instant : si prier est le plus que l’on puisse faire, pourquoi ne pries-tu pas davantage ?
La prière est puissante, et si tu désires Ma puissance, tu dois prier. Qu’est-ce que la prière ? C’est ton lien avec le divin. C’est communiquer. C’est se brancher sur la Source. C’est l’accomplissement du plus grand devoir de l’homme. La prière est sérénité, foi, confiance absolue.
La prière fait descendre sur toi Ma paix. La prière engendre l’action. Elle t’élève. La prière change le cours de l’histoire. La prière guérit. Elle fait revivre. Elle restaure. Elle construit. La prière est humilité. La prière, c’est Mon amour. La prière Me touche et Me pousse à agir. La prière obtient des résultats. La prière est le salut de l’humanité.
Mais, par-dessus tout, la prière nous unit, toi et Moi. La prière nous fait devenir un pour que tu puisses te revêtir de Mes pouvoirs.

Invest in the best

Some of you kindhearted souls are quick to jump in and help whenever you see someone in need. Being caring and compassionate are wonderful qualities, but it’s also important to be realistic. Don’t overextend yourself to the neglect of your primary responsibilities or to the point of feeling overwhelmed and giving up. You can avoid this pitfall by being careful and prayerful about what you commit to do for others.
Your time and resources are limited, so you need to invest them wisely. When you see a needy situation that could turn out to be a costly or long-term project, consult with Me and get My perspective before you commit yourself to helping. You need My help to see things in the proper perspective, because if you don’t, you won’t be as effective as you could be. You might get deeply immersed in one project, only to find that there is a needier situation just around the corner. Or if you try to “run on empty,” you won’t get far or be much help to anyone.
Keep in mind, too, that sometimes when someone is struggling, while there may be something you could do to help, I might know that it’s actually better for the person to work through the problem with only Me to lean on. Or I may know that someone else is in a better position to help that person than you. This is sometimes hard to accept, but in some situations the best thing to do is to step back—to pray for the one who is struggling but not to get involved beyond that.
Recognizing a need is only an indication of what I might want you to do. Check with Me before getting involved, because I may have a better plan.

Love’s reward

If you feel you’re imposing on loved ones and friends by asking for their help when you’re sick, you need to try to see the situation as I do. Yes, it’s usually a sacrifice and means extra work for them, but the potential blessings far outweigh the burdens.
When others come to your aid, it brings out the best in them. It gives them a chance to be self-sacrificial, tender, compassionate, patient, and cheerful, and that puts them in line to receive the spiritual blessings that follow as surely as day follows night.
This is all part of My wonderful plan, the plan of upgrading all of your spirits by giving you special opportunities to give and receive love. Both bring you closer to Me, because I am love. Whenever there is a love exchange, My presence becomes more palpable, and that puts everything else into perspective.
And just as the extra time you spend praying, communing with Me, and tanking up on My Word strengthens your faith and deepens your connection with Me, the time they spend praying and claiming My promises for you will strengthen their faith and relationship with Me. It also strengthens the bond of love between you.
When the days are weary and the nights long, I will be as close to them as I am to you. Moment by moment and task by task, I will be there to lighten their load, lift their spirits above the circumstances, fill their hearts with perfect peace, and give them the strength and grace to keep being My blessing to you.

Help in Trying Times

I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears, and they are precious in My sight. Though you may feel that this is one of the lowest times you have ever been through, yet in My eyes it is a precious time. I feel you closer to My heart than ever before. As I hold you in My hands and behold the beauty of your tears and your prayers to Me, the beauty of your surrender and humility in coming before My feet and saying, “Nothing in my hands I bring, simply to Thy cross I cling”—as I behold this, I love you. I hold you close to My heart, and I comfort you.

But you must let Me comfort you. You must have faith to reach out and receive from Me. It is nothing that can be earned or worked for. I wish to give it to you freely because of My love for you.

You must make the decision to accept My peace and comfort. And though this time seems long, it is only a moment compared to eternity. You will be rewarded greatly for your faith.

Pequeños actos de consideración

Hay muchas formas de manifestar Mi amor. Por ejemplo, puedes dar un saludo caluroso en vez de una mirada indiferente. Puedes tomar unos momentos para responder a una pregunta con consideración y franqueza, en vez de hacerlo ligero y aprisa, con lo que los demás se sienten subestimados o piensan que son un estorbo.
Mi amor se manifiesta de muchas formas: a base de perdón, de misericordia, de ternura, de amabilidad, de sencillez; con palabras de amor, de aliento y de elogio; con todo lo bueno y positivo que puedas decir de alguien; mediante pequeños actos de consideración; estimulando y recompensando a los demás; preocupándote por ellos; mostrándote atento; entregándote a ellos; dedicando tiempo a conversar, a escuchar y a compartir; ayudando a llevar la carga; rebajándote si hace falta para ayudar a una persona.

Wheels of progress

There are cycles in life—times in which everything seems to go well, and times when things seem to go badly. I want you to learn to hold on to Me through each phase of the cycle.
Problems cause you to exercise your faith as you rise up to meet them, and that brings the next phase of the cycle: You call on Me for help, and you fight and you win and you make progress. It's like a wheel as it turns: As the top goes down, the bottom comes around to the top and the wheel carries you forward.
Each time you face a new test, you must fight once again. You take up the challenge, call on Me for help, and once again overcome and make more progress. More tests bring more victories. But if at any time you don't seek Me for the solution and fight through to victory, you stop the cycle. You remain at the low point and there is no forward motion; you go nowhere.
So don't look at the low points in your life as defeats, but as opportunities to make forward progress. I know it's often difficult to go through these cycles, but you must in order to keep moving forward, so keep at it!

Pour te diriger dans le labyrinthe

Le monde devient de plus en plus compliqué et tu as besoin de Moi pour te diriger dans le labyrinthe de ces complications. Tu dois te tourner vers Moi pour savoir quoi faire. Je peux te montrer ce qui est invisible à l’œil nu. Je peux te révéler de nombreux éléments que tu ignores. Le monde s’émerveillera de ta sagesse, de ton savoir et de ta perception des réalités, si seulement tu Me cherches, si seulement tu M’écoutes.
Alors n’aie pas peur de demander. Avais-tu peur de poser des questions à tes parents lorsque tu étais
petit ? Non bien sûr, tu demandais tout simplement, et ils te répondaient. Il en est de même avec Moi.
Il te faut développer ta sensibilité par rapport à Moi et à Mon Esprit. Garde ton antenne spirituelle pointée vers le haut, toujours à l’écoute, car J’ai des multitudes de choses à te dire.

Simple, Sincere, Spontaneous

You appreciate it when people compliment you, don’t you? But compliments don’t seem to flow out of your mouth very easily, do they? You kind of get stuck when it comes to saying nice things to people. You either just don’t think about doing it, or if you do, you worry that it’s going to come out sounding corny or won’t be appreciated or maybe even misunderstood.
Think about the times when people have said something nice to you. How often have you felt that they were being corny? Or even if you did, didn’t it make you feel good to know that they noticed you and that they liked something about you? Other people will also feel good when you compliment them.
You don’t have to think up spectacular or poetic things to say. “Simple, sincere, and spontaneous,” is a good motto when it comes to giving compliments. If someone looks particularly good that day, tell her so. If you feel like telling your friend, or your dad or mom, or your brother or sister, how much you enjoy being around them, go ahead and do it-right then! Try it; you’ll like it! And so will they.

Breaking the bands of addiction

Having a loved one who is caught in the trap of substance abuse can be one of the most heartbreaking and trying experiences, not only because it's so harmful and dangerous, but also because it's an ongoing problem. It tears you apart to watch someone you love so dearly destroying himself. You've tried to talk sense into him, you've tried to give advice, you've tried to understand what brought this on, you've tried to be patient, and you've tried to be firm. Still, it seems that nothing has helped. That's because, as badly as you want to, you can't solve the problem. Ultimately that's up to him. If he's willing to change, I can break the bands of addiction and heal his body, mind, and spirit, but even I can't override his decisions.
I can, however, work in his heart and mind to help him start making better decisions that will lead to recovery, and this is where you come in. You can help Me work more effectively by praying for him. Until his will is pulling in the right direction, you have to do some of the pulling for him through prayer. Until he is ready to ask for My help himself, you have to ask for My help.
Prayer can work wonders in even the most "impossible" cases, so keep on praying. It may take time, but one day you will see the evidence of My hand at work and your prayers for your dear one being answered. Where there is life, there is hope!

Stay simple

I spoke great truths, profound words that changed lives and continue to do so. But I also spoke to the children. I was simple, I was clear, and I didn't lose My appreciation of little things. I stopped to enjoy the flowers. I cooked for My disciples.
It's when you can't find joy in the everyday things of life that you become complicated and lose the human touch. You exchange depth of character for a labyrinth of complex thinking, a heart that is sensitive to the things of the spirit for mere head knowledge.
Simplicity is a gift. Everyone starts out with it, but as some people grow up they discount this gift because they associate it with ignorance, naiveté, immaturity, and a lack of sophistication. They prefer to weave a web of complexity to cover it. But did I not say that unless you have childlike simplicity to believe in the "impossible" and the unseen—Me, the One who died for you and rose to life again so you could have the wonderful but simple gift of eternal life—you cannot enter the kingdom of Heaven? The gift of simplicity remains for those who have the humility and wisdom to value it and claim it as their own.
There is much to discover throughout life and even more in Heaven, but you will always find that the most profound truths, the greatest beauty, and the most outstanding wisdom are expressed simply.

Ever-present help

You can find comfort in knowing that good can come of anything and that I allow trials in your life not to make you miserable, but better. Still, at times it is hard to be so philosophical—all you want is some relief! You don't want to hear, "All this is for your good"—you just want to be free of the problem.
I know how you feel. When I was on the cross, the pain was so excruciating that I just wanted it to be over. I kept reminding Myself that I was enduring this so that you and a whole world full of sinners like you could be brought to salvation. I knew it was worth it, but it was a supreme struggle to keep such altruistic thoughts foremost in My mind. In My Father's time the suffering did cease and I was released into the spiritual realm where such agony could no longer touch Me, but what an ordeal that was!
At the time of My suffering, My Father could not intervene. I had to go through that for you. But now that I have, I am always there to help you through your times of pain and suffering. I let Myself be separated from divine help for that time so you could always have it available. So hold on. The victory, comfort, and surcease from suffering will come.

Make Lemonade

When something seems to be going wrong, instead of complaining or letting it get you on a bummer, try to find a personal solution for it. That doesn’t mean figuring out how to change things so that they always go your way. It means finding a way to be cheerful even if they don’t. Learn to make the best of any situation-“making lemonade out of the lemon.”
It makes Me especially happy when you have a positive reaction to something that didn’t turn out quite as you would have liked. I want you to be happy and I try to give you things and make the circumstances so that you’re happy with them. But that’s not always possible. So when something is tough for you, but you’re able to trust Me and smile through your disappointment anyway, it shows Me that you’re ready for one of My blessings, something that I probably wouldn’t have sent your way otherwise, because some blessings have to be earned-and they’re usually the ones that you want the most.

I am love

In times of darkness, I will be your light. In times of sadness, I will be your joy. In times of struggle, I will be your deliverance. In times of weakness, I will be your strength. In times of question, I will be your answer. In times of doubt, I will be faith unto you.—And more important than any of this, I am love to you. I love you and I forgive you.
So do not be discouraged or disheartened. Do not look back. Do not be remorseful over the mistakes and sins of the past, for the past is the past. I have covered those mistakes and sins, and that which was scarlet shall be made white as snow. As far as the east is from the west, so far have I removed your sins from you.
In the very moment that you seek My forgiveness, in the very instant that you call out to Me, I immediately grant My forgiveness, and there is no more need to worry or fear or carry the burden yourself.

Um tempo para cada coisa

Há muitas maneiras de orar. Há momentos para derramar o coração em prantos, buscando-Me em orações fervorosas. Há outros para sentar-se tranqüila e serenamente, buscando-Me em humildade, fazendo suas petições com calma, sussurrando aos Meus ouvidos os seus pedidos e me dizendo o que precisa.
Há momentos quando se ora fazendo outras coisas, fazendo em seu coração pedidos silenciosos, e há horas em que se deve parar, deixar tudo de lado e Me buscar com forte clamor. Tudo isto é importante e tem a sua hora e o seu propósito.
Não é a posição do corpo que conta, mas sim a posição do coração. Demore em oração quando necessário; seja rápido quando o tempo for pouco. Há uma hora para orar rapidamente e uma hora para ser mais demorado, e você precisa aprender a usar as duas coisas de acordo com a necessidade — mas ore! Dependa da oração. Viva de acordo com as suas orações. Não se canse de orar.

Les dons que J’ai pour vous

Voici, Je suis le Bon Berger. J’ai donné Ma vie pour sauver ceux qui sont perdus. J’ai offert Mon corps pour guérir ceux qui sont meurtris. Ce n’est pas en vain que j’ai souffert tout cela, mais afin de pouvoir vous prendre dans Mes bras, vous Mes enfants, tout contre Moi, pour vous réconforter, vous aimer et vous offrir le pardon, la rédemption et la guérison.
Mes bras sont tendus vers vous, et Je tiens dans Mes mains des dons précieux, pour vous qui êtes brisés, pour vous qui souffrez et qui pleurez. Ce sont des dons d’amour, de pardon, de miséricorde et de guérison. Tous ces dons, Je ne demande qu’à vous les donner, si seulement vous tendez vos mains pour les recevoir par la foi.
Des dons aussi précieux ne peuvent se mériter. Vous ne serez jamais assez bons pour les recevoir. Mais Je vous les donnerai gratuitement si seulement vous tendez vos mains par la foi pour recevoir Mon amour, Ma miséricorde, Mon pardon et Ma guérison.

I understand everything

I am so in love with you that I overlook all your faults and failures. I am blind with love—love that sees beyond your shortcomings and mistakes, love that only sees the good and the possibilities that others do not recognize.
I do not have a great big stick standing by, ready to wallop you at your slightest failing. I do not stand ready and waiting for you to trip and fall that I may whack you back in line. How could I? For I, too, walked in your shoes. I, too, took on the cloak of human flesh that I might know and feel and understand everything about you. I know the frustrations you feel, your every longing, the incapability of your human flesh, and even your secret sins. I feel your humanness, and because of this, I have promised that I will have mercy upon you. My thoughts toward you are thoughts of peace, forgiveness, long-suffering and compassion.

A strong marriage

If your marriage is going to be strong, it must be strong in the spirit. If it's going to be strong in the spirit, then I must be the center. Your focus, your unity, your love, all must be centered around Me. Then you'll have what you need to make it over the human weaknesses and mistakes and misunderstandings. But when you go for a long period of time without having good prayer and communication, without humbling yourselves and uniting around My Word, it's very easy to become set in your ways, proud, unyielding and intolerant. You lose the compassion. You lose the tenderness. You lose the sweetness.

Soluciones para Tus problemas

Cuando te sientas débil, Yo seré fuerte por Ti. Cuando te agobie la confusión, te imbuiré de paz. Cuando te invada el temor, confortaré tu corazón. Cuando te asalten dudas, te daré fe. Cuando te sobrevenga la tensión, te daré alivio. Cuando te encuentres en un laberinto, estaré a tu lado. Cuando te sientas inútil, te daré una meta. Cuando se apodere de ti la angustia, te comunicaré alegría. Cuando te falte confianza, Yo seré tu tranquilidad. Cuando lo veas todo confuso y turbio, Yo te daré claridad. Cuando todo te parezca lúgubre y tormentoso, seré para ti luz esplendorosa.
